Do not Ever Canon PowerShot SX100IS Digital Camera

by | |

How long does the camera continue to hold mass produced cameras with the same mistakes over and over again? Obviously, only a little longer. It's like Canon and others are asleep at the wheel. The purchase of a Canon PowerShot SX100IS Digital could be a disappointing now for many, unless they are, what can the camera and what is not informed. So, in the sense of spreading the word, we take a better second look at the SX100IS, and see whatin memory for the perspective buyer.

The flash is setup a little differently. To some this will be a bonus, but for others nothing but a pain. In most point and shoots, the flash is still living and is used automatically for most indoor shots. For the SX100IS but you may need to manually pop up the flash before taking a picture. Canon expects that the user decide if the flash is needed, too, how the camera to decide the opposition. It is a bug in my head. MostPeople are buying point and shoots like this Canon Powershot camera, do not want to think before every picture of the light conditions. They just want the picture. Most of the time, most people will not forget to download the Flash pop-up, and at the end are missing some great pictures.

And here's another surprise. Expect a four or five seconds delay between taking pictures during the SX100IS flash recharges. Like every other point and shoot out there. I know it is nothappen in the category of SLR camera, but I do not think I could spend, plus up to $ 600 for this function. With how much money consumers have used in digital cameras, the industry really had their R & D focus on this issue. Expecting point and shoot camera users get the perfect picture for the first time, is unreasonable. Even the pros are not so good.

For some artificial reason, Canon has decided to prevent zooming during video recording withSX100IS digital camera. There's really no good technical reason to do so. It works fine on some of their more expensive cameras. It almost smells like this intentionally crippling PowerShot SX100IS for marketing reasons in an attempt to more expensive cameras tempting.

Every now and then for a while, you find a camera that seems to be just the thing for you to be. In the case of the SX100IS, I found myself want something more. Unfortunately, I have a few moregripes:

- Image quality suffers in brighter environments

- No viewfinder, which limits the users options

- LCD screen has no protection, and vulnerable to scratches

- Scroll wheel is responding, and vulnerable to the selection of the wrong attitude
